My wife recently purchased for me a FishEasy2 depthfinder. As many posts are related to the pros and cons of different models of depthfinders, I would appreciate any opinions of the quality of this unit.

Thanks...

Re: Your opinion on Eagle FishEasy2

I think they're excellent for the money. Two negatives: 1. Screen size & resolution
2. Is the fish I.D. selectable? (Change from fish symbols to arches), I don't like the little fishie symbols, "fishie" symbols could be sticks, trash anything suspended.
Depending upon where you buy, for about $30-$40 more you could upgrade to Fishmark 320 w/higher rez , larger screen, easier on older eyes like mine. My opinion
JD
Check out http://www.eaglegps.com/Products/ProductComparator/default.asp

Sorry to say, "It's a toy!". Poor resolution and power. You'll find retailers dumping their stock at low prices. If you want Eagle, start with the Fishmark 480 or SeaFinder 480DF. These two models are probably double the price with close to 10x the resolution.
