Sure we all know about bass pro, and Cabelas bargain cave, but what are your best online bait/lure sources?

Mudhole
Janns Netcraft

Overstockbait has some great clearances.

Gonna spend Superbowl weekend making lures, so I have to stock up on supplies.

Moores Lures for building heavy lures, hooks, split rings, screw eyes

Stamina Tackle used to have good quality hardware, blades, clevis's, snaps, etc., at decent prices. I haven't bought much from them in 4-5 years, and since then they were bought out, the prices went up, not sure it they still have good quality stuff...

Janns Netcraft of course.

FFO has clearance stuff from Berkley, Pflueger, Penn, Abu... baits, reels, rods, line. (I probably have 2 lifetimes worth of fishing line from them :D)

BPS... Nope, not anymore, been burned too many times on cheap components, plus everything is at full retail, all the time. (Their bargain cave or what ever they call it is a joke...) I stop by there once in a while, but it's usually not for lures.

Cabelas, every once in a blue moon, not local so I don't shop there much. Still have a $25 gift certificate I'm trying to burn there...

Cabelas just added 600 items to the cave yesterday.
Mostly smaller spinner baits, minnow lures, and components of all kinds.

I can’t remember the last time I bought any fishing tackle on-line. I spent the time over the years to get know most of the shop owners / suppliers on a first name basis. I have connections for everything from electronics to plastic baits at costs far below the big box stores.

It's saturday morning, 6am. You have(had) a big day planned, but last night there was some problem... Is your on-line tackle source going to get you going? Nope. And considering the industry standard markup/margin protocols, you might find the same price, or less, or marginally more at a good tackle shop. And then you get that help at 7am that saves the weekend.

Not every local tackle shop is like this but there will likely one within your reach that you can build a relationship with. Align with them and you will get far more than the 10% you save. And realistically, buying online your savings are often big percent savings - but where it counts is the dollars. When the real dollar "savings" is $1, does that make a difference, really? Especially at 7am on a saturday when you need that local tackle shop to be in business...
