Nope------ It takes a new or good used head. No epoxy stuff will hold up to the exhaust.

Ok, what is "sensai"...... I don't get out much???

Did he curse me????

Sensai is a Japanese word for leader or expert I think. I know you think it is simple, but you take the time to read and post. That is note worthy in itself. Take the compliment, modesty is OK, but you do help people!!

Don:

I posted a query re: valve guide seals earlier this evening. As you are an experienced pro, can you direct me to a good source? Motor is a 1992 Mercruiser 3.0L (S/N: 0D805131). I'm pulling the valve cover to replace valve stem seals and check valve action on Cyl. #2 (low compression), and I noticed on p.3A-15 of the Mercruiser manual a reference to the guide seals - do these even need to be replaced? I'm trying to rule out the valve train in my low compression issue, so I'm going to check all possible causes of sticky valves. Thanks for your time - you've previously made valuable contributions to my ongoing efforts to get my engine back into top running condition.

A sensai is the master of a dojo, a karate school.

It is a term of respect, if the pupils don't refer to the boss as 'sensai', they get smacked upside their head.
