I am a first time boater with a 1989 Force 150, I had some cooling and starting problems. I followed the advice given here, parts in total ran me $50 (not including starter $100, for over cranking, learning experience) and kaboom! My motor starts perfect and runs perfect!
One more less urgent question. Is the motor supposed to tilt all the way up? I can move it up and down to trim it out no problem, but need to manually lift it all the way up? Is there something I should look at?
Thx to the guy who educated me on the enrichment valve, thx so much, I didn't even know to push the key in while starting. First try, everytime now, she fires right up and purrrrssss!!!!!
