World?s first floating city back on course

The Freedom Ship would be home to 50,000 people and have its own airport, casinos and shopping centers.

I don't know, somehow I think its more one persons dream than anything else.

I dunno...it's kinda a cool idea! Not for me, but for a place to vacation too or have a "time-share"? I'm sure it'll be only for the uber-rich...I guess Why not?

... and sickness and disease will sweep/spread through that thing just like it does on cruise ships.

... but at least you won't have to mow the lawn or shovel snow.

Good grief.....
Just supplying that behemoth is going to take a small army. It would cost 4x as much to live on it.
And then the missing persons reports. Man overboard!

How often do the stringers, deck & transom need to be inspected for strain?

I wonder what the Towing packing membership would cost for that.

One good storm or Hurricane and that thing is toast. My gut tells me that a disaster of some type would occur when you try to float a city.

It's just kind of an oversize aircraft carrier. How bad could it be? Just stay out of hurricane alley and all is well.

UG. Who would want all that aircraft noise near their home? Carriers are VERY noisy places... even below deck.
