We bought our boat down in Ft Myers in 09 and use it here in Canada and down south.
So this past March I took the "America's Boating Course" offered by the San Carlos Bay Power Squadron, Ft Myers Beach. Excellent course, excellent instructor, all aspects were well organized.
Seemed to take a long time to get the card, finally discovered there had been a glitch in the address software.
Long story short the card arrived in the mail today.
Felt if I was boating in Florida waters I should get the Florida card and frankly am happy I took the course, I believe it has made me a more competent and comfortable boater.
