Hi Ross - how are you doing? <br /><br />I can picture what you're suggesting...<br /><br />Standing on a creaky old bridge, somewhere in Louisianna, over shark infested water, with towel heads lurking around. <br /><br />No, I'll pass on that one. Maybe good old kiwi bungie jumping isn't so scary after all. :(

We do have an aquarium on the river walk in New Orleans that holds sharks but no cat walk above it. There is an overhead view of it but no danger of falling in unless you do some climbing and then jump. You can walk beside the tanks and see the sharks swimming overhead but not anything to be afraid of. We even have a tank that has whale sharks in it. You should come visit sometime. I think you would be impressed.

I think it was that tugboat captain that hit that Amtrak bridge awhile back. After all we know he has experience in fixing bridges to fall when something is on them.

Yes....I do belive that you are right....the dark side of the force is strong and has power over creatures like sharks, sturgeons and stingrays.<br /><br />Jedi anglers and Shoafin monks must be aleart now more than ever....As our numbers increase so do our chances of getting drawn in by the dark side of the force.<br /><br />LOOK AT 00-BOATY....HE'S A STALKER NOW!<br /><br />He was young and had not yet completed his training when the dark side of the force took advantage of his weakend state and drew him in.<br /><br />For a master fishing monk nothing is impossible.....try sitting fifty feet from the dock with a busted motor within site of a port-a jon when last nights chilly makes its way to your pucker strings....YOU WILL LEARN TO WALK ON WATER.<br /><br />Many of us have used our "floating butterfly style gung fu" to retrive our favorite lure from a tree limb or evade a hungry alligator's firce jaws.<br /><br />nessesity is the mother of invention and when you have the need for speed....."floating butterfly"<br /><br />levatationwood.

Re: YIKES !!

Derwood some of our ranks have not had the extra benifit of our training because of location. Many of us from the southern school are used to ducking, dodging and evading attacking fish and fauna (aligators, water moccasins, wild pigs and a number of other things). It seems only recently have many of them been finding out the angler can become the hunted. For me I have always known I was a much lower part of the food chain when outdoors and the increase of frequency in incidents where this is proven is not suprising to me.

Re: YIKES !!

Derwood,<br /><br />You think your floating butterfly style gung fu is strong. You should try the crouching hippo-screaming cheetah style gung fu. This style is a suitable form when used against hornets and wasps that you have upset when in a boat. <br />As a skilled Jedi-Angler one must be ready for the suprise attack from the falling squirrel. If not prepared your head will look like freddy cruger gave you a hair cut. When they land in a boat they like to go to the tallest object, which might be your head
