yet another wiring problem...

I have a 1994 voyager with four wires coming out. White,Brown,Green and yellow. My trailer has two sets of two wires. green-gr/brwn and yellow-yellow/brwn for a total of 4 wires coming from the trailer. My assumption is to ground the white wire. connect the green to green and yellow to yellow. Then, take both the gr/brwn and yellow/brwn and connect them to the brown coming out of the van. I have tail/signal lights and yellow side markers. Do all of the bulbs have to be good (side markers included) for any of the other lights to work?
any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!

Thanks Bob. Here is what I get. I know the wiring in the trailer is good, for when I hook a battery straight up to the yellow-yellow/brwn wires, the lights come on. How many volts should I be getting from the wiring coming out of my van when the tail lights are on? 12V??

lucky,

Yes you will have 12V.

The bulbs in your tail lights need to be dual element. I believe they should be 1157's.

Thanks Bob and Djohns. I found my problem. When I unwrapped the wiring harness on my van, the wires crumbled in my hands. gee, ya think I need a little rewiring here?? I jumped the wires from where I thought they were good and...SHAZAAM!! :D They worked!! Thanks All!!!!
