Love it when one stumbles onto stuff like this. Doesn't matter what it costs. If you buy it you must think it's worth it. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

Re: Yesterdays Barn Find

If I told you what I paid youd think I robbed him, lol.

He bought the house as an estate sale, and everything came with it. Did not know an outboard from an inboard, and wanted $200 for the lot. Didnt even begin to haggle. All motors have great compression. May need to tinker with the 2 with selectric shift a little, but after this weekend they should all be polished, fully tuned and running for sale. Have to start cleaning out the basement, my wife is on strike with the laundry until I give her a path to the washing machine ;)

Washing machine? Is that the same as a parts washer? Heck of a find HighTrim! All good motors in my opinion. Not to mention the fun of gettin em running again! I jealous!

Hmmmmmmmmmm, think she would mind? lol All our clothes would smell of carb cleaner and gasket remover.

Don't they already? I'm always wondering if the dryer will explode!

Dont normally like the sixties/early 70's, messing with selectric shift. Love the 50s vintage.

Nice find. Thank god for barns. I love the black Lark. It looks cool just sitting there. You're right about the guy not knwing what he had. He put the cowl on the 40 hp Johnson on backwards :) Rae you gonna keep any of them or just flip 'em? Congrats on the sweet find(s)!
