OK, 1989 Suzuki 140 is a b*tch to get started when it's been sitting a few days without use. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes, the other day it took nearly a half hour! I also flooded it a couple times trying to start the stubborn thing. I've read a lot of the posts about hard starting and it seems to be something other than a choke problem. It pretty much has to be a carb / fuel issue, right? It starts up first turn of the key when it's warm or been used recently. If I take it to the local outboard guy what price range could I be looking at?

Re: Yes, another hard starting thread.

I was just quoted at $250 to have the carbs rebuilt and things checked out. Sounds like a good deal to me. Am I right?
