Year of Mercury 15hp

I'm looking to find out the year of an outboard I recently was given. It is a 15hp Mercury the serial number on the head is 881-9727-C. Any help would be appreciated

Look on the transom bracket for another number, as that one does not jive.

OK, Got the Serial Number<br />OD193466. I hope this is the correct #. Thanks for any help Rick.

D 182000- OD 280999 is a 1993
