Boy I could sure use some help. I bought a 1950's wood boat built by "Holt Craft" and said to be a Nova Scotia build and shipped to Meadow Lake Saskatchewan for completion of seats etc (don't know why) and I am assuming went to Saskatoon and sold at a dealership.
Problem here is I can't figure out the year of manufacture. I have tried without success at Transport Canada as I do have the license number (even though it was built before 1972
someone did license it) . I spoke with the two previous owners so have about 25 or so years
back but both are conflicting. Last owner says 1959 and the previous to him says 1952 and
Transport Canada has no record of the license number even though I sent them a picture of it. So after all the work I have done with no success I am hoping someone here has ANY information that may help my quest for information. I will add all I have here and toss the dice.
Department of transport tag reads as follows
Maker--Holt Craft
Model--Run about
weight--985 pounds
serial # --12631
license # --2H5193 (can send picture of vinyl letters these numbers on my bow)
