Year of I/O question Merc 3.0

I want to order a service manual here on iboats for my fishing partners birthday.
He had the boat re-powered with engine and stern drive in 1994. (sold as new)
But I don't really know what the year of motor and stern drive is.


Merc 3.0 Ltr with electronic ignition. Alpha 1 stern drive.

serial number on the motor OF272581

It is a 94 engine. You need manual #13. This manual is also on the Web, free for download as is the manual for the outdrive.

Sevice manual #13 for the engine.

Service manual #14 for the outdrive.

I have the same year 3.0 Mercruiser.

How do you access these links? When I click on them, only the first couple pages of the manual. Should these links open up the full manuals?

For instance, when I click on the Service Manual #13 for the engine, I am directed to http://www.boatfix.com/merc/Servmanl/13/13covr2.pdf which only contains the first six pages of the manual. Is this all that I should see or sould the complete manual open up?
