year of 60 hp mariner

have a 60 mariner triple ,sin is a755143. is this a 1990? im asking because i think it has the wrong stle plugs in it .when i bought it, it had surface gap plugs but that should not be until 1991.

1990 Canadian Mariner takes BUZHW spark plugs.
