Can anyone help me with the year and horsepower of the engine with this serial number 2537359??
the owner thinks it`s a 80hp. but don`t know the year.............THANKS...........HAS

See if this helps. It's too old to look up by serial number alone, so you will have to be sure if it's an 80hp or not.

Sorry but I can only get back as far as s/n 2559001 (1969) for an 80hp, if it is even an 80hp.

S/N puts the motor in the 1967-1969 range. Not sure how to determine what model you might have.

This engine has a 6 wire stator, 2 yellow wires, 1 blue, 1 red, 1 blue with white stripe, 1 red with white stripe.
The only numbers I can find on it are 46 & 75, this engine has no distributor. The starter no. is 50-66015 with
a date of 4-22-75. I`ll see if I can get a no.off the switch box or trigger wheel. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE.
