Probably 50:1, or 16oz of oil to 6 gal

welcome to the board. I've only begun and I'm already able to give back some of what's been given to me. check out the Suggestions for New Posters link, don't forget to run a search by key words, there's tons of threads about everything you can imagine.

good idea to get the book

Ahoy Thereaper and welcome aboard.

Your motor seems to be a 1989 model as you can see here. web page
Use 16oz. of oil to 6 gal of gas and you will be fine.

As stated above, anytime you have a question, do a search.

There are plenty of good info if you do a search.

Again, welcome to the board. :)
