Yammy fuel pump question

Hi yamaha 650 1993 when checking the fuel pump if you pull off the one exit hose and crank it..should it "Shoot" out a few inches or dripple out..i'm having a fuel delivery problem and it just dripples out thanks Erik

need a new fuel pump
clean all lines first

try using a fuel line from the pump directly to the reserve pickup on your tank,, and remember it will need to prime the line, then see how the fuel flows out of the pump,, if it stays the same you need to rebuild the pump, if it works a lot better, block of the other lines and use that , but include the water separator or filter if your ski has one.
