can someone tell me which setting is right, on the back of my tacho,for a 75hp 3 cyl. aet yamaha.<br />ie 2 pulse,3 pulse,4 pulse,5 pulse or 6 pulse?<br />cheers jonah.

memory says 3 pulse or 6 pole, the larger engines were 6 pulse or 12 pole. but I have no service manulas with me here.<br /> bump this again and maybe Ray or another will confirm or ridicule my poor memory.<br /> but it will be either 3 or 6 pulse and its very obvious at idle because it will read rediculously high or low if your setting is off.

nice one,the trouble is, is that it works on all the settings,with the counts dropping the higher up the setting.so i wasn't sure whether it was 4,5, or 6 pulse.i think the 3 pulse setting was quite high, so maybe it must be the 6 pulse. i would like to get as accurate as possible to see if i can up the pitch of the prop.thanks alot.
