I have a 1988 23' Wellcraft center console with a pair of 1987 OMC V4 SeaDrives on it. One of them is toast. I can of course get a rebuilt powerhead ($4K) for it and be on my way.<br /><br />My mechanic is also a Yamaha dealer and he suggested that I think about scrapping my twins and putting a single new 150 or 200 2 cycle Yamaha on it. I would need a bracket ($2,600.00), guages, controls plus engine. We did not get to the fine points but he thought I could do the entire thing for about $14K.<br /><br />I don't know if I really want to pursue this but am looking for ideas and input.<br /><br />One thing I would like to know is what kind of a discount could I expect off of list for a new Yammy.<br /><br />Your thoughts?<br /><br />Howard
