absolute novice to boating, also none too skilled on the web either, also posting from uk and the set up of forums is different, any way, can anybody help? with above? yam 9.9 4stroke with elec start, and lanyard.rest of serial no, is 6c8, 1, then 402 121. two things 1) water not circulating, ie not coming out of outlet, checked and cleaned inlet ,suspect impeller, have no idea where to locate same, also a bit of a strange one ! do you sometimes need 2 stroke oil in a 4 stroke engine? have been told by other boaters to put 2 stroke oil in fuel despite it being 4 stroke, however, whilst not being able to completely i.d . this engine, have come upon a "fuel mix " engine on the web under the auspice of a yam 4 stroke, does any of this make sense? all comment gratefully accepted(by the same token if you post and i dont get back, then thats my dozy inability not to get back, rather than any snub) thanx and goodnight,raymo,
