Yamaha with very little power

I recently had my 1998 90hp yamaha rebuilt. The crankshaft had defect. Now when I try to go over 20,00 rpm the motor has little power. The boat can not get on plane with more than 2 people on board. The motor was fine prior to repairs. The engine runs fine at idle but has no speed or power. It has trouble pushing onto the trailer.<br /><br />Any ideas? I am not sure my dealer is being honest. I don't know what to demand they do to fix the problem.<br /><br />Thank you<br /><br />Foster

Take it back. Have compression checked and ignition system checked. Sounds like its not firing on all cylinders.

How many hours have you put on it since rebuild. The rings may not be seated yet.
