hi i just bought a 1994 waveblaster i was wondering if i should decarb the engine just like any other 2 cycle engine. any tips anyone could provide about maintenance would be helpfull. thanks
I never have on my seadoo (or really heard where it is nessary), when I changed heads on it (higher compression) there was no build up either (surprised me), now granted I am still running the factory oil injection so if you premix heavy, then I'd say use your own judgement (although again, I've never seen it advised in print anywhere).
Windjammer.....Just go to Walmart and get some Berrymans B12 and put in the fuel. (Some guys here like "Seafoam") Put it in the fuel every now and then. Iv done this for many years and it does a great job. I do borescopes inspections on my engines It works for me. No worries..
Yes, it is something that should be done on all engines, 2 or 4 cycle, 2 cycle especially. Doesn't matter if it is an outboard, jetski, chainsaw, or lawnmower. Decarbing is necessary and will make it run better.
