yamaha vx110 doesnt have oil filter????

got a 06 yamaha vx110 and doesnt have oil filter???? hard to believe but thats what the yami parts dealer said....anybody know if this is really true? if it has one where is it? if it doesnt...is there a way to drain all the oil out and not just pump out the 2 quarts from the tank?

I havent looked at the ski engines but the boats have one on the side of the engine it looks like a small spin off filter a car uses , and I believe the boats use the exact same engines as the ski does, better call a different dealer get a second opinion. it should be on the bottom toward the front of the engine on the right hand side if you are facing forward on the ski,, oops maybe it is facing the drive shaft on the ski,, but there is a filter and the dealer is pretty incompitent to say they don't have one.

thks guys...i found it..port side under exhaust in rear. just reach under from rear...spin off filter.

that's it,, cool - now what about the dealer who said they don't have any,, geeeez what a fool.

Here's a quick tip for changing the filter. After barely loosening the filter, put a quart size ziplock baggie over it and a dog pee pad below the filter. You won't a drop of oil in the bilge.
