Yamaha vs Honda

Hi guys,<br /><br />looking at buying at 40 Honda or 40 Yamaha 4 stroke motor. I would like to know which one is better or if there are any known faults with either machines<br /><br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Kellaig

both of the engines you have mentioned are very reliable and well built.my recomendation would be to buy the one that your local dealer carries .if you have local dealers that carry both brands ,then i would shop the dealers rather than the motors.and i do not mean the one that beats the other guys price by a couple hundred dollars.shop their servive as well as their reputation.ask the opinions of other boat owners in your area and see who they recommend .but after this if everything still looks pretty equal then choose the one that is the color you like best. i really think you will have a very good engine either way. good luck and happy boating!
