Yamaha vmax 150 erratic mis-fire or no fire??

I posted the other night about my 2003 Yamaha vmax 150 carb motor running like crap and bogging etc.. well, after testing and checking fuel system, running on separate tank, checking for air leaks etc.. I put a timing light on each cylinder while the engine was under load in the water.. at first I had it narrowed down to #2 and #4 cylinder firing very erratically and only about half the time... well, after going from wire to wire numerous times, is it possible to have virtually every wire firing very erratically and intermittently?
