Yamaha Trim Tilt Question

Have twin 2000 Yamaha 200hp engines. I was trimming up my port engine and saw sparks on the electrical lines going to trim motor. Wires had worn down and were touching. Got the motor down, upon reaching lowest position, motor stopped and trim does not work. All that happens is a clicking sound for both up and down positions in the junction box on the motor head. All help appreciated. Dcajun

Re: Yamaha Trim Tilt Question

If the relay clicks the control side is ok. The trim relay takes power from the battery at the starter relay. There is no fuse. You probably burned the contacts in the trim relay.

Re: Yamaha Trim Tilt Question

Are the contacts for the trim relay in the junction box? Thanks
