Yamaha Trim Tilt gauge

I recentlyy bought an 02 Yamaha 115 4 stroke. It came without a trim tilt gauge. Can anyone tell me how difficult it would be to hook one up? Would there be a connector harness on the engine or in the 704 remote, or would I have to install a sender unit. Thanks for any help.

the sender is on the motor. you may need the sender harness from the 4 pin connector at the motor to the dash and the guage, aftermarket guages are avalible for your two wire sender set up.

Thanks for the info, rodbolt. So, I won't have to get into the remote at all?

nope.<br /> nothing in it related to the trim sender. a copy of the 02 rigging guide may help though.

Thanks again Rodbolt. I think I located the harness on the motor. There is additional wiring from the display unit. Like you suggested, I will try to get a rigging guide.
