I have twin 2001, 200 HP Yamaha HPDI outboards each with a Multi function gauge. The trim indicators do not change on either engine staying at 0% trim. There are two connectors per engine, one at the gauge and one at the engine. There are 4 wires from the gauge, black, pink, orange & gray. The black and pink go to the trim sensor. The gray wires through both connector and disapears into the engine and the orange ends at the engine connector. I ohmed both sensors and they range from about 4 to 280 ohms. I hooked a 1.5v battery to the gauge side of the engine harness black(-) and pink(+) and the indicator reads about 80 percent trim. The gray wire indicates about 4.66V DC with reference to the black wire. There is no power on the trim sensor(across pink and black) when it is hooked up. Where does this power come from? Is there a wiring schematic for the indicator circuit?
