Just wanted to let you know a yamaha prop will fit a merc,just needed 2 washers.The yamaha prop lifted the entire boat not just the bow.Maybe its because it is stainless steel.I went from a merc 23 pitch aluminum to a 19 pitch yamaha stainless,It was like adding 50 hp.But I still have a problem,my tach works fine up to 5200 then when I give it that last little bit of throtle the tach backs up about 200 rpms,any ideas what could cause this?Also the tach doesent work at idle,it starts working at about 1200rpms??
