yamaha tilt

have a 90hp 4 stroke 2008 yamaha. power tilt clicks solenoid from both switches, but won't run lift pump. if I tap on pump or pistom assy, starts and runs whatever way i'm holding switch. the tap is very slight. wazz up with this?

sounds like sticking brushs in the trim motor, motor that new may still have warrenty left.
