Hi gents, this kanadakid here. I had to set up another user name (Delakid) as I was having severe trouble re-setting my password.

In order to change my timing belt on my F90 I need a special tool Flywheel Holding Tool prt # YB-06319/90890-06522.

I have searched the intranet and have been unable to find it anywhere. I did find generic fly wheel holder with 2 pins that opened to a 5' span. But not sure this tool will
fit.

Any of you guys /Rodbolt know where I can get the tool and how much bloodsweat it going to cost ?

Or will the genaric work fine.

It looks like the flywheel puller will take a genaric puller.

Thanks for your help,

Kid

Re: Yamaha Special tool

Hi Kid,
I just replaced the belt on my F100 last week and to hold the flywheel I borowed a large strap wrench from work and wraped it around the hat portion of the wheel. Took allot of force to pop the nut loose 137lbs I think.
I was going to get one here

http://www.laingsoutboards.com/useful_products.htm
for $39 but I found one in our shop. :)
The flywheel came off with a sweet little pop using a harmonic balancer puller.
It was easier than I thought. Have fun.

matco has a flywheel holder turner for 38 dollars or so that works great. a strap wrench will work as well but is more bothersome but avalible for about 20 dollars.
