No, I did not hear any fuel pump whining. Are you refering electric fuel pump? Stop lanyard was in place. Also, fuel was in the water and fuel separator and no fuel pressure when starting engine?

Jason

Bad News The high pressure fuel pump is locked up form the fuel turning. List price is 780.00 for the high pressure fuel pump. You need to add fuel stablize if the engine sits more than four weeks.

How can I be sure that the high pressure fuel pump was bad? Is there any way to test it. I checked it with the meter and got the reading of 12 volt at the terminal. Thanks.

Jason

I will bet every thing I own . To test take a test light and remove the two wire on the top of the vapor canister. Blue and red wire. Turn the key on If the lights lights . You need to order a high pressure fuel pump. Order the gasket kit to for the top of the vapor can 26.00.
List price is 780.00 for that pump.

Thank you for your help.

So if the test light is lighted - buy a new fuel pump and gasket

What should I do if the test light is not lighted?

Jason

It will Key on first 5 seconds. You need a high pressure fuel pump. Its not a gasket its an o ring kit. You need to clean the vapor tank when you pull the pump out. Best thing to use is Engine tuner by Valve Tec. In the future I would run fuel stablizer all the time or if you feel lucky add it if the fuel has sat more than four week and make sure you run it thru the system.
