Prop: 4 BLADE STAINLESS STEEL SOLAS
SIZE (Y)E4X141/2 X 15
outdrive: alpha one gen ii

This prop actually runs pretty well on my boat--i only ran it once and then took it off.
A local boat dealer said it was ok to just use the thrust washer from my flo-torq II kit--he thought a yamaha thrust washer would damage the drive or seal. But the flo-torq 2 thrust washer doesn't fit in the prop--the prop just sits against it--so i decided not to run it that way.
I bought this prop on e-bay and in the description they left out the "(Y)" plus the picture showed a mercruiser prop. I've filed a dispute on paypal. It's a nice prop--is it possible to install it properly on my drive?
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Yamaha prop on an Alpha One Gen II ?

You can, as the dealer says. Otherwise you can have something machined. I wouldn't rely on it as my main prop, but as a good spare. The hardware set is very different and your propshaft isn't long enough to use all of Yamaha's. You'll just have to make do.
