Hi Guys/lADIES,<br /> i'M THE PROUD OWNER OF A GOOD SECOND HAND yAM pRO 50. COMPRESHION etc is good but I am having diff finding out any specs for it particularly year model. i suspect it is pre 1995. Does anyone have any exp with this model and what sort of prop should I run. It will go on a 4.3 alum boat.<br /> Cheers Mark in Aust

Im working on one of these now, Yamaha cannot Id the engine with the numbers off of sticker on engine. Im trying to id year of engine, locate manual and parts, dealer says 3 weeks for anything. Will share what I find.

Hi Guys,<br /> I'm in the same boat. The numbers I have, P50TLRQ/ 6H5L5154_6 with a B in the bottom right hand corner does not match with any specs on the yamaha USA site. There are some numbers very similar in the 50hp models 92/93/94

I believe it means oil injected

The forign motor guide says that the "B" makes it a 1992.

with Yamaha you go by the last letter in the MODEL which in this case appears to be P50TLRQ and going with the foreign guide says 1982...but that model number sure looks like USA @ 1992

had an 87 pro 50. asked myself the same question. what was the difference between a pro 50 and a 50? wiring diagram showed the 50 had power tilt and the pro 50 had power trim as well as power tilt. believe that was the only difference. regards fred.

buy the way. did you eliminate the oil injection and go to pre mix yet?
