Yamaha outboard - what year??

Newbie here,<br />I have tried to use a reference chart provided by another <br /> site but cannot match the info with my serial number (20SH 6A9 S 015584)<br /> on my 20HP short-shaft Yamaha.<br />I am trying to find out what year it is so I can order a manual and get the basic<br /> info like spark plug type, fuel mix etc..<br />I recently bought the motor and the person who sold it to me couldn't offer much as he bought it used as well.<br />Any help appreciated.<br />Thanks,<br />Glen - archers@gokenora.com

Re my previous question - Can somebody tell me if I am reading the serial number correctly?<br />I thought the "SH" in 20SH referrered to the short shaft, but now I think maybe only the S refers to the shaft and perhaps the H corresponds to the year (1987).<br />Am I on the right track??<br />Thanks,<br />Glen
