I believe my '98 takes about 3 tubes, you may want to buy 4 just to be safe. After you fill, let it sit for 2 hours and go back and attempt to refill after bubbles and any air space has had a chance to work to the top. Also, you may want to replace the o-ring/gasket on the fill/drain screws just to be safe.

You might consider a Synthetic gear lube manufactured for marine aplications! Longer drain intervals, better corrosion protection and improved performance!

LubeDude :D

I know this is an old post but I.m hoping you guys can help me. I have an 89 Yammy 90HP. I want to change the lower end lube but I only have one oil screw. Its labled oil level. My Johnson had two, one lower than the other, so you could pump it in the lower hole and the air comes out the top one. How do I get oil in their without air bubbles too?
