Yamaha l4 3.0 shifting problems

I have a yamaha l4 3.0 sterndrive and i finally got it all back together. I started it up and when i shift into forward or reverse it kills my motor. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Yep, remove the drive and see where the problem is.
