Re: Yamaha info?

probably would end up having to pay for all the import duties.
And you will not end up with any warrenty

How would you deal with not getting what you ordered from someone in China

Then go to them and ask if they would honer a Yamaha warranty if you bought the motor from this site in China, I am fairly sure they will say no to any motor bought outside the US and not installed by A yamaha dealer

As a authorized Yamaha dealer, I can tell you that we can do no warranty work on a European engine much less get parts for them. Once that engine is paid for, you are on your own. They must not be Yamaha dealers since its against dealer policy to do what they are doing.

Re: Yamaha info?

I appreciate all of your comments, and i doubt i will try to purchase a motor from them,Capt Ken What do you mean by "European " engine,i thought a Yamaha is a Yamaha,i never have purchased a Yamaha before , and i could not believe they could or would sell a engine at the prices they list, which is why i asked my question here from people who have more experience then i,i have a 40 hp Honda i like but i am trying to purchase a smaller engine as cheap as possible.Thank you guys for the comments and info.

Re: Yamaha info?

Yamaha makes different engines for different areas of the world. The engines sold in the states are not the same as in other countries. You see some of these labeled Enduro. So a 50 hsp US model will not be the same as one from S America. Looking at that website, many of those models are not sold in the states.

I hope that I did not offend you. Honestly, I have bought some items from China and got what I paid for. They are notorious for forgeries and there is just no way to have a face to face communication with the seller if you have a problem.
Just curious, what engine is this and what would have been your cost with the S&H.

Re: Yamaha info?

Do a business search to obtain an address. Then google map that address to see if what there web site says is the same as what google maps says. Street view might help as well. There is another cliche that you probably heard a thousand times and it generally true.

If the deal sounds too good to be true -- it probably is"

Heck, I rode a chinese knock off scooter for three years and it ran great. Just had to tighten and replace the bolts every month. But what can you expect for a $900 150cc scooter. Never could pronounce the make.
