I have a 1996 Yamaha 130 on a 18' Seacraft.
The ignition switch is failing and needs to be replaced (the red wire going in shorts out when wiggled. Also the push choke is not working.

Anyone know what the right replacement switch is and where thhe can be ordered? There does not appear to be a part number on it and I have not been able to be sure on line.

Also, anyone know what each wire is for?
going into the bottom of the switch there is:
1 red wire
2 yellow wires
2 black wires
1 blue wire
1 brown wire
1white wire.

Thanks for any help, I am trying to get the boat ready to sell!

Re: Yamaha Ignition Switch

as your not posting about blown fuses the short theory is out.
try again.
red wire is power to the switch, yellow is key on 12v,dark blue is choke, brown is start, black is ground and white is kill.
what happened to pink, green, dark green and light blue?
