Got pictures in of a boat with a Yamaha I/O. From the pics it looks like its a GM (Chevy) engine and a Volvo drive. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

Confirm what?
Yamaha uses Chevy engines, just like Volvo and Merc. But Yammy doesn't use Volvo drives.

Can you post the pictures so we can see?????

Ayuh,...

Yamaha sold those things here in the states for only a couple of years,...
Then Totally Abandoned the market.... Legal problems I heard...

If you need Parts for 1,....
Capt. Ken, 1 of our members, who lives down Florida way is the ONLY place to find the Parts, or the Knowledge to fix them...

I wouldn't be surprised if Ken shows up on this thread,...
He stops by,+ scans the thread Titles for Yamaha Issues,+ of course, More customers.....

Re: Yamaha I/O

You got to see how many boats for sale down here in jersey, i mean lined up with every size and motor and legs you can possibly want.

People living beyond their means boat is the first thing to go in this kinda economy.

Me i lust for something newer, shiner , bigger, but i know gas is gonna go back up, and what i have is good enough for me.

But if you see a 70 hp- 75 hp evinrude around good condition i may want it.

Fresh water.
