Yamaha I/O 3.0 Overheating

I own a 1992 pontoon boat w/ a Yamaha stern drive and a chevy 3.0, It seems you can't hardly buy any parts for this set up. While out on a short trip The engine overheated so bad that paint on the exhaust elbow discolored and melted the rubber hoses that attach to the out drive. I replaced the impeller on the sea water pump 2 years ago. I'm wondering if because the exhaust elbow got so hot that it is maybe the circulation water pump? I still need to replace the two large hoses that come off of the exhaust elbow but have not been able to locate them.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
