I have 3 cylinders scored all on the same side of the v6 block. What would be the common thread to cause all cylinders on one side to fail? Thanks in advance.

just like you were told in the other thread you started on the subject,
one side of motor probably overheated

The problem with that theory is if either cylinder bank had overheated, the ECM would have reduced power on the engine and sounded the high temp alarm. Even if the alarm malfunctioned, the engine would have went into reduced power mode.

If all three of the cylinders are scored on one side, it means that side overheated. Now here could be many reasons for it to overheat, but with no other information that's about as far as you can go in determining the cause.

As for no alarm or slow mode, he didn't say those things didn't happen.

Which side of the pistons scored? Intake or exhaust? There may be a lean condition if the high pressure pump filters are clogging....though just one side would be unusual.
