My Machine stopped ,when I try to start it,it just clicks ( Batt is good)

Took the plug out of the cylinder towards the back and it was mashed in.

Any thoughts on what happend?

IS there a way to see if the motor is locked up ( cant see a way to get to the Flywheel)

Any advise what to do would be wonderful.

Thanks Mike

The mashed up spark plug doesn't sound very good. The first thing I would check is the compression. If your #'s are even across all cylinders you could start looking at other things like the starter or carbs. If you have one cylinder that is lower than the others, or all are pretty low, you could be looking at anything from a top end rebuild to a complete engine replacement depending on the damage.

the engine hatched if the piston hit the plug.. look for your oil line on that cylinder it probably fell off and the cylinder hatched,, pretty common with 2 stroke yamaha engines

Piston is no good where plug was mashed.
Stuck a screw driver in cylinder.

IS it worth putting new pistons in?

Owner said he flushed it wrong.

Would that cause that to happen?

Engine wont turn over to check compression

Thanks Mike

If he flushed it wrong (running the water before starting the ski maybe?) it would allow water to run back into the engine and would hydro lock the engine causing the damage. Running without oil could cause that as well as running too lean. You will need to pull the head to see the full extent of the damage and see if there is any damage to the crank.

If it were me, I would fix it and add a few upgrades while I'm at it. The GP1200R has a great hull and for a relatively low amount of money can be made very fast!
