Thanks for your reply. Yes it turns over fine but will not start until I put it in neutral and move the throttle a little forward. After a cold start it will then start okay and run fine. The only reason I mentioned the choke was I recently had to replace the ignition switch and it had a blue wire that I thought was for a choke.
Thanks. My boat is at my storage location. I will inspect them next week.Carefully inspect the main engine harness wires to the IAC connector. The wires have been known to snag on the cowling when the cowling is being removed and getting damaged. Carefully inspect for any signs of damage. Might be hard to see.
Thanks for your reply. Just a little more information. My original problem was the boat would be running okay and then just stall. It would not restart until the engine cooled. The service shop overhauled the tank containing the float chamber, intake seal, new fuel pump, needle valve, float and plugs. Quite expensive. Ran okay after that and did not cut off. Because it's on a pontoon boat and I have to haul it 50 miles to the service center a neighbor connected the diagnostic test equipment and it showed a faulty ICV. I replaced it and now it runs great except when starting I have to put in idle and open throttle. After the engine is warm it restarts okay. I have not been able to go to my boat dock to look at the wiring harness to the ICV but hope to next week. Sorry, I should have given the history of my problem before. If the throttle has to be opened to help start a fuel injected F90 then something is amiss within the motor.
