Yamaha F40 Stator Question

I have a 2000 Yamaha F40 Manual outboard.

What is the difference between the stator assemblies on the manual start and electric start model ? I am working on replacing the rotor and adding an electric start to my F40. I can't see why the stator is different. Is it a mechanical issue or does it actually have different electrical outputs?

most the manual start models did not have lighting coil circuits(battery charging) nor did the flywheel have a ring gear.
its a mercury engine with yamaha silver/blue paint.
