hi all ,
bit of help here please - my best and dumbest mate , best cause he owns aboat and dumb well read on.
Mate disconected both batteries to get small welding job done - wise man , then only reconected 1 battery and laft the other leads on the deck of his ali boat - dumb.
yes he started the motor and did not notice the leads on the deck untill motoring to his destination 45 mins away - silly boy.

These are the numbers on the outboard plate.

could anyone tell me where the alternator and voltage regulator will be hiding .
im guessing these will be fried and in need of replacement.

might get a frontal labotomy gift voucher for my mate at time of parts purchase

Hey Steeli, welcome to iboats.

Why not connect up the battery leads and see if things work? No point in assuming things are fried unless you have already established that's the case. Just a thought!
