I have a mid 80"s Yamaha Enduro 40 hp engine with a stick tiller which I am considering changing so that I can hook up a steering wheel and cable controls. The problem is that I am not prepared to pay big money for a system for a motor which is not worth much. I am therefore looking at using used items . In order to do so, I do not know if I have to use "Yamaha" only parts or if I can use other control boxes/cables etc. Is there anyone out there who can help me out?
