yamaha control module 6y9 trouble shooting

Hello, I've got the 6y9 control module on a Yamaha F300 2010 on a 23' hydrasport. I've owned boat/motor for 2 years. Everything has worked well. I pulled boat at end of May and just plopped it back in the water this week. Motor has 400 hours. When motor was run the 6y9 module begins initialization but turns itself off momentarily and then cycles through to initialize itself again. This continues, never getting beyond the Yamaha insignia. I've pulled the two fuses and each appears fine. I've pulled and reattached cables going from back of unit to Buss control. I'm at a loss what else to do. Boat is stored outside but with full cover and helm cover besides. Motor runs fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
