Hi - 1993 Yamaha C85 2-stroke. the tilt/trim seemd very slow lifting the motor last time out, now it won't lift at all. There is a click when I hit the switch, but nothing more. Battery is good. How can you lift the motor when the tilt is not working - it seems locked against hydraulic pressure. I wanted to check the fluid levels but could find no reservoir - is it a 'sealed' system?
Thanks for any clues you guys can give!

Re: Yamaha C85 tilt/trim issues

Well I got lucky. For those that are interested, there's a small bleed screw on the right of the engine mount that lets you release pressure to raise the engine manually. Second, I checked the wiring from the tilt motor to the engine relay, and found the screw holding the green wire to the relay had loosened to the point the wire wasn't really making contact with the post at all. Tightened it up and all is good as new!!
cheers all
