Yamaha C115 Starting

I have a 1998 Yamaha C115 that starts fairly good cold. After running and then fishing for approx. 45 min. I have to choke it to start. If I try to start it inside of that 45 min. it starts immediately. The motor runs strong at all RPM's and all conditions. I ordered a carb repair kit for both carbs but haven't installed it yet. Any other suggestions?

That doesn't sound terribly out of whack. You might try enrichening (check manual for which way to turn idle mixture screw some go clockwise others go counterclockwise) your idle mixture a 1/8 to 1/4 turn.

I don't have a manual. Does anyone know which way to turn the screw to richen the mixture?
